Carlsmith Ball Adds Of Counsel Attorney David M. Ross In Los Angeles

HONOLULU, HI-November 21, 2015-Carlsmith Ball is pleased to announce that David M. Ross has joined the firm as Of Counsel, resident in its Los Angeles office and a member of its Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Mr. Ross has extensive experience litigating complex commercial disputes, with his practice focused on contract disputes, commercial fraud, and professional liability. He has represented individual and corporate clients in finance, real estate development, retail, power generation, oil refining and motion picture technology. He has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in contract and partnership disputes, securities and professional negligence matters, bankruptcy litigation, and in claims of fraudulent transfers and bid rigging. He has been selected five times by attorney peers for inclusion in California Super Lawyers - Rising Stars, including in 2014 and 2015.

Mr. Ross also devotes time to pro bono work. He is accredited to represent veterans in claims to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and currently represents a veteran through the Inner City Law Center's Homeless Veterans Project. He has also worked with Homeboy Industries to help indigent clients.

Prior to joining Carlsmith Ball, Mr. Ross was an associate at McKool Smith Hennigan in Los Angeles, and previously served as an Extern to Chief Judge Vaughan R. Walker, United States District Court, Northern District of California. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he served as Executive Articles Editor for the Hastings Communications & Entertainment Law Journal. Mr. Ross received his B.S. from the University of California, San Diego.
