New Carlsmith Partners

Kathy Garson was Of Counsel in the firm’s Hilo office. Her work will continue to focus on Land Use Litigation and Real Estate & Project Development matters. In addition to her promotion to partner, Garson is assuming the role of Administrative Partner in charge of the firm's Hilo Office. She is well suited for the position with her prior supervisory experience as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the County of Hawai`i. She also brings local insight as a fourth generation Big Island resident.

Melissa Lambert was Of Counsel in the firm's Honolulu office and is a member of the Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution practice group. Lambert concentrates on employment matters, advising employers on personnel issues and compliance with employment laws, and helping them develop and implement policies to effectively manage their workforce. Lambert is also experienced in representing trustees in connection with administration of trusts, including advising them regarding trust accounting, diversification and prudent investment, and fiduciary responsibilities.

Kenji Price was Of Counsel in the firm’s Honolulu office in the Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution practice group and worked on matters related to white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, complex civil litigation, crisis management and appellate litigation. Price will continue to use his background as a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in New York, and his experience representing individuals and companies in civil and criminal matters in Hawaii, to strengthen Carlsmith's litigation practice.

David Ross was Of Counsel in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Ross’ practice includes complex commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and pre-dispute counseling for businesses of all sizes. In his new role as partner, David’s knowledge of both the technical and practical aspects of litigation and business law will be an asset to Carlsmith’s litigation practice.
