Carlsmith Ball Welcomes Julie Mecklenburg to Maui Office

Carlsmith Ball is pleased to announce that Julie Mecklenburg is now Of Counsel in the firm’s Maui office. Mecklenburg brings over two decades of broad-based and versatile transactional experience to the firm.

Mecklenburg is proficient at advising clients on all aspects of the structuring, negotiation and execution of business, real estate and financing transactions. She has represented a wide variety of clients, including real estate owners, developers and investors, venture capital and private equity firms, governmental entities and companies on complex and day-to-day matters arising at all stages of the business life cycle.

Mecklenburg joins the firm from Colorado, where she represented municipalities, primarily in development and financing of affordable housing, parks and public works projects. Mecklenburg's background also includes serving as deputy corporation counsel for the county of Hawaii, assistant attorney general for the Federal States of Micronesia, practicing with large law firms in California and Illinois, and working overseas as in-house counsel for one of the world's largest international companies.

Mecklenburg received her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in marketing from Michigan State University and her Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law. She is certified to practice law in Hawaii, Colorado, and California.
