Carlsmith Ball Welcomes Stephanie M. Chen to Maui Office
Carlsmith Ball LLP is pleased to announce that Stephanie M. Chen is now Of Counsel in the firm's Maui office. Chen brings more than 13 years of experience in a wide variety of areas including contracts, business and corporate work, real property, and administrative law matters.
Most recently, Chen served as a Deputy Corporation Counsel in Maui in the Counseling and Drafting Division. In that role, she advised various county entities, including, among others, the Department of Planning, Department of Agriculture, Lanai and Molokai planning commissions, Conservation Planning Committee, and the Real Property Tax Board of Review. Previously, she was the lead author of a Hawaii quiet title and partition law primer published by the Ka Huli Ao Center for Excellence in Native Hawaiian Law at the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.

Chen received her Bachelor of Arts cum laude in French Studies from the University of Washington and her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School. She is licensed to practice in Hawaii.
