Carlsmith Ball Partner Arsima Muller Keynote Speaker at Micronesian Youth Summit - Oahu
Arsima Muller, partner and chair of the transactional practice group at Carlsmith Ball, was honored to be the keynote speaker at the recent Micronesian Youth Summit – Oahu.
The summit brought Micronesian students together on Oahu where they explored their potential and future. A joint committee, including We Are Oceania (WAO) staff along with faculty from the University of Hawaii’s Micronesia Connections, and community leaders, organized the event.
The summit’s theme was “Navigating Success,” and the agenda focused on college readiness, career readiness and community readiness. Middle school and high school student attendees participated in workshops, forums, discussions and other activities.
This event was particularly meaningful to Muller as a native Marshallese who herself moved from the Marshall Islands as a teenager to attend high school here on Oahu. After starting her legal career with a law firm in Washington, DC, Muller returned to the Marshall Islands to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable Carl B. Ingram, Chief Justice of the High Court of the Marshall Islands, and then as a staff attorney for the High Court of the Marshall Islands.
