Kimberly A. Jackson Joins Carlsmith Ball's Kona Office
Carlsmith Ball hired longtime Kailua-Kona attorney Kimberly A. Jackson as Of Counsel in the firm’s Kona office. A seasoned practitioner, Jackson’s emphasis is in estate planning, trust law, probate, and guardian/conservatorship appointments. She is a recent recipient of the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Professional Advisor in Philanthropy Award, which recognizes outstanding professional advisors in the community who have demonstrated a personal and professional commitment to philanthropy.
Previously, Jackson was in private practice, locally and at an Am Law 50 firm, and worked in government with the Attorney General offices in Oregon and Alaska. She also has taught at the Georgetown University Law Center as adjunct faculty through the Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship.
"Kim's extensive legal experience makes her a valued resource for the firm and our clients, and she has the private-practice knowledge and judgment to counsel clients through complex and difficult issues," said Jon Yamamura, Chair of Carlsmith Ball. "We're excited to have Kim on our team."
Jackson is admitted to practice in Hawaii. She received her J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law with high honors.
