Paul Ueoka to serve on Hawaii Judicial Selection Commission

Paul Ueoka, partner in the Maui office, was appointed to serve on the Hawaii Judicial Selection Commission (JSC) for a six-year term beginning April 2, 2017.  The JSC evaluates applications for all Hawaii judicial vacancies, selects nominees for consideration by the Governor and the Chief Justice of the Hawaii Supreme Court, and determines whether a justice or judge shall be retained in office.

Ueoka joins a select group of Carlsmith Ball partners, B. Martin Luna and Lawrence Okinaga, who have previously served on the commission.
