Retired Carlsmith Ball LLP partner James H. Case, 97 years young, has recently authored and published a book entitled Hawaii Lawyer: Lessons in Law and Life from a Six Decade Career.

Looking back on his long and inspiring legal career, Case shares stories about his clients' goals, challenges, successes and failures--as well as his own--and provides us with valuable lessons learned along the way. Case's book also gives us an insight into some of the history of Hawaii, from the glory days of sugar cane and pineapple to its present tourist-dependent economy. Perhaps the most important lesson to take away from Case's book is to remain active, happy, healthy and productive well into one's senior years.
